New platform enables self-serve social ads
Online advertising server Zedo has launched a new, self-service platform which enables marketers to create their own social networking ads. The platform gives all websites and advertising networks access to marketers around the world.
Zedo's platform is universal; marketers can create social network ads in virtually any language, giving websites and online publishers to create new revenue streams seamlessly.
Here is how the system works: marketers purchase ads, including fully skinnable interfaces, which can be changed so that the ads have the look of the social network on which it will appear. Marketers can purchase text ads, image ads or create unique flash-based ads using Zedo's simple drag and drop tool. There are pre-loaded templates available for marketers.
Zedo has also released a sequencing tool which gives marketers the ability to choose the sequence of the ads seen by consumers. By controlling which ads appear and in what order, marketers can enhance the overall brand recognition or recall. Enhancing the brand profile in this way has been proven to increase sale purchases.
The company has also created an ad hoc reporting system so that information from all campaigns run on all networks can be accessed from a central location; in this way marketers can decrease the time spent researching performance and increase the time spent creating and tweaking ad campaign.
