Coupons, Inc, Money Mailer partner to take coupons mobile

With the amount of 'extra' money Americans have to spend shrinking daily, more and more retailers are offering coupons just to get consumers in their offline - and online! - doors. This week, Coupons, Inc. and Money Mailer Direct Marketing have entered into a partnership to help local businesses take their coupons online for a greater impact.

Money Mailer will utilize Coupons, Inc's distribution network to push their offers online and into the mobile space.

So far this year, more than 50% more consumers are turning to coupons to help them save money while still buying the products they need or want according toa recent Simmons/Experian study. Local businesses, especially, may want to consider what a partnership like this could offer as the economy continues to soften.

"[Demand is growing] for coupons across our network. . .as mobile couponing becomes a reality," said Steven Boal, CEO of Coupons, Inc. "By expanding the Money Mailer reach and our online offering, this strategic partnership will generate more revenue for our publishers and greater revenue for our publishers and great savings for consumers at a time when they need it most."

Coupons can help local business obtain more business; with a coupon in hand, consumers are more likely to come into a store to buy a product or to use the coupon online to help offset driving costs.

According to Coupons, Inc., more than $33 million in coupon savings were printed in September 2008, that is a 25% increase since August.
