SplashCast, Clearspring partner for social ad platform
Clearspring Tecnologies, a widget distribution and monetization service, and SplashCast, a company which connects advertisers with social outlets, have partnered to connect brands with social networks.
Social networking in increasingly popular with consumers and marketers are joining the trend by sponsoring content or creating their own branded micro-sites within networks. This partnership will help marketers engage social consumers.
"Our relationship with Clearspring…[makes] it easier for [brands] to tap the opportunity afforded by social marketing," said Michael Berkley, CEO of SplashCast. "In addition to being deeply integrated with compelling, targeted content, advertisers benefit from effective widget distribution and deep analytics."
SplashCast as a wealth of content available for marketers to use to connect with the social audience; by partnering with Clearspring to distribute the content and ads across social platforms, marketers have a better chance to engage consumers than simply placing a display ad on a random social network page.
According to a recent comScore report, social networking continues to grow at a fast rate. In the Asia Pacific region, social networks grew by 23% from June 2007 through June 2008. In Europe social networking saw a 35% increase and in North America a 9% increase. Latin American consumers are also logging on (33% increase) but the largest increase in visitors was seen in the Middle East/Africa (63% increase).
