BuzzLogic invites conversation into ad network
Blogs may be the step-children of pure content sites, but advertisers are still willing to take a chance on blog advertising - as long as the blog in question touts a high level of influence. Enter BuzzLogic's new platform which places influential blogs directly in the paths of marketers.
The Conversation Ad Network is set up to reward bloggers who have a influence over a specific segment of the blogosphere while at the same time easing the minds of advertisers and publishers because the blogs in the network are proven to refer good traffic. So far about 500 influential blogs are part of the network.
Ad units in the network include display, video, poll-based and rich media ads; the ads are CPM based.
BuzzLogic CEO Rob Crumpler says the Conversation Ad Network offers premium inventory and a unique targeting algorithm. "Our targeting technology is focused on identifying influence," said Crumpler (via MediaPost). "The algorithms measure the credibility of a blogger on a subject over time, as well as how te content or ideas are spreading through the social graph or neighborhoods around it."
Reports on influence and traditional campaign metrics are available.
Around the world social networking, which includes blogging, is exploding. According to a recent comScore report social networking grew by 35% (year over year) in Europe, nearly 10% in North America and 23% in the Asia/Pacific region.
