U.S. business-to-business marketers boosting overseas budgets
Over half of U.S. business-to-business marketers are anticipating increases in their overseas marketing budgets, according to a recent online survey conducted by BtoB.
While reports are out that marketers may be dealing with decreases in marketing budgets, another report, featured on b2bonline.com, suggests that U.S. business-to-business marketers will be increasing theirs.
In particular, the report finds that it is overseas marketing budgets that will increase. BtoB found that, of the 274 U.S. marketers surveyed:
- 60% anticipate increases between 1% and 10% this year
- 24.8% anticipate increases between 11% and 20%
- 8.8% anticipate increases between 21% and 30%
- 6.4% anticipate increases of over 30%.
Not all marketers plan to increase overseas marketing budgets. Around 88% plan a decrease of up to 10% and 12% plan decreases of more than 10%.
Despite this increase in overseas interest, and the increasing diversion of funds toward attracting a larger international audience, the BtoB survey found that 69.7% of marketers did not have a multilingual website and 58.4% did not provide multilingual marketing materials.
