BzzAgent launches 'WOM Impact Guarantee' program
Do you fancy putting word-of-mouth to the test but aren’t sure whether the medium is able to match the efficacy of your current marketing activities? Then perhaps a program launched today by BzzAgent is what you need.
Word-of-mouth is often mistakenly compared with viral marketing; however it differs significantly in that viral marketing often parodies a brand’s image or advertising, which is great for awareness. Word-of-mouth, on the other hand, has consumers talking about a specific product and is more likely to lead to sales and product inquiries than viral marketing.
Many marketers are afraid of word-of-mouth. For a start it’s seen as incredibly hard to measure and it’s perceived as even harder to control and monitor conversations taking place across the Internet.
Not so, says BzzAgent. The word-of-mouth network is putting their money where their mouth is by throwing down the gauntlet to marketers and agencies. They guarantee that a word-of-mouth campaign, devised by them and measured by Insight Express, will out-perform a competing campaign using other mediums by 20% - or your money back.
"We know the medium has significant impact, and one way to help [hesitant] marketers dive into the pool is to guarantee it," said Dave Balter, founder-CEO of BzzAgent, reports Advertising Age.
"We're happy to have any new business that may come from this, but what we are really trying to accomplish is to get word-of-mouth to be valued on a measurement basis for marketers,” he added.
It should be noted that there is a requirement for a minimum investment of $300,000 for both the word-of-mouth and competing campaigns.
