Internet advertising revenues on the up
There has been an 18.2% increase in internet advertising revenues since last year, according to new figures released by the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
Recently released figures from the IAB show that the first quarter of this year saw revenues 18.2% higher than in the same period last year.
The first three months of 2008 represent the second-highest quarter ever, with $5.8 billion in revenue total. The highest quarter to date was in Q4 2007 when revenues totaled $5.9 billion.
"We expect growth to continue, as consumers spend more and more time online, and marketers find more - and more innovative - ways to reach them through digital media," said Randall Rotherberg, president and CEO of the IAB.
