Cashback website receives record number of visitors
A British website dedicated to providing consumers with guaranteed maximum cashback offers on Internet purchases has seen a record increase in business over the last six months.
It seems that British consumers are determined to watch every single penny they have, even when spending online on low value, small items. Rising fuel, food and energy prices are driving consumers to take every opportunity to save money.
It’s hardly surprising that, given the current economic environment, a 100% web cashback site would be doing well. froggybank.co.uk operates the U.K.’s largest network of consumer loyalty cashback websites and, in the last six months, has experienced record traffic with new membership up 64% and repeat visits up by 40%.
It’s not just large purchases on which consumers are seeking savings. “Traditionally when people first discover cashback shopping they use it to get money back from a large purchase such as insurance or a major electrical item,” said froggybank.co.uk Marketing manager Nadeem Azam. “But we are seeing an unusually high number of people registering then immediately claiming cashback on small every day purchases such as entertainment items, or health and beauty products.”
The site lists more than 1500 leading retailers offering cashback incentives, including BT, Carphone Warehouse, Tesco, Sky and Currys and the network now has around half a million members.
