PriceUniverse.com: Future of price comparison

A new website lets consumers decide the price they are prepared to pay for a product while helping online retailers to realize increased sales.

priceuniverse%20logo.gifConsumers across the globe are tightening their belts and looking for the best deal they can get on products and services. Likewise, retailers are looking to push inventory and find creative new ways to keep their goods flying off the shelves at attractive prices.

PriceUniverse.com is a comparison shopping website that addresses both these current issues. Not only can online retailers list a product but they can allocate it four different prices – a “buy now” price and three other offer prices.

Consumers who want a product immediately can use the “buy now” option. Those consumers who would prefer to pay less but wait longer can join a “club” and buy in bulk along with others.

“Setting club prices is great if the merchant wants to sell in bulk, to promote a product, or to promote their business and web site,” said Christopher Kirtley, co-owner of Price Universe, LLC. “Our Internet sales method using the club prices is patented and while we do what many current price comparison sites do, we also do more.”

PriceUniverse.com further explains:-

“For example, a hot new toy is on the market and one of PriceUniverse.com’s merchants is offering the product on line via their web site. Consumers can log on and “buy now” without becoming a member, or they may join one of the clubs; all clubs are free to join.

Club one might offer the toy at a discounted rate of $95 which requires 30 members to join within one-week; club two drops the toy’s price to $90 with a two-week wait time and 35 members needed; and club three is the bottom line price of $85 with 40 members needed over a three-week period. It is up to the consumer to decide how long they want to wait to save significant money.”

PriceUniverse.com takes price comparison sites one step further and gives more control to the consumer over how much they have to spend while increasing sales for retailers.
