ScanScout, Broadband Enterprises partner for video overlay ads
Mark up another competitor on the online video advertising bandwagon. Broadband Enterprises has announced that ScanScout will provide it's in-stream video ads.
"[ScanScout] provides some of the best targeting features in the online video industry as well as their ability to serve advertising within the video stream," said Darryl LaRue, EVP Operations and Marketing, Broadband Enterprises. "ScanScout's Brand Protector, as well as their additional technology offerings, holds great potential moving forward for our extensive content and site partners."
Online video advertising is becoming more important every day for online marketers as more consumers log on to watch favorite television programs, research movies or view user-generated content.
In addition to partnering for in-stream ads, Broadband Enterprises will also use ScanScout's overlay technology throughout network sites for news and entertainment. Broadband Enterprises' network includes more than 1,800 local television, newspaper and radio websites through the US.
Waikit Lau, ScanScout's Co-Founder and CEO said, "This relationship enables our delivery of overlay ads from . . . brands across BBE's roster of A-list publisher partners - some of the most well known and widely visited titles across news, entertainment and lifestyle categories both nationally and locally."
According to company information, ScanScout has served more than one billion ad impressions in the past six months.
