HealthPricer tightens search process
Comparison search engines are growing more popular with online shoppers every day, but in many cases consumers become frustrated with the generic listings because the product they are searching for isn't necessarily returned in the query results. HealthPricer, a healthcare products comparison search engine, has revamped their search features - and the revamp could benefit marketers as well.
The upgraded search engine will now allow consumers to search by generic terms rather than specific product names and can narrow the query results according their health concerns and even their demographic information.
The geographic filters are likely to be most interesting to marketers and product makers. Why? Because users can specify that they want their results returned according to their region. This is a coup for local marketers in the network of HealthPricer sites.
Gerd Zobel, Senior VP, Product Strategy and Customer Experience, HealthPricer Interactive said, “We can now enable three main types of search: 1) consumers looking for the best price for a specific product from our network of merchants; 2) consumers browsing for health products using general search terms, and 3) consumers with specific requirements for the products they are searching for, such as products catering to a specific health concern or condition.”
