GoFish to serve age-appropriate ads to popular game
GoFish and Cookie Jar Entertainment, a children's entertainment company, are teaming up to serve age-appropriate ads to kids playing Cookie Jar's online games. The ads will be served to the upcoming release "Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands".
The game is targeted to appeal to the 8-14 year old age group.
Kenneth Locker, senior vice president of digital media, Cookie Jar Entertainment said, "The GoFish Network will help enable us to continue providing the best user experience for our players while generating additional revenue streams from Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands."
GoFish will provide the ads for the free-to-play game. The ads will be incorporated into the game itself to add a layer of realism for players. The "Magi-Nation" game is based on the animated series, broadcast in the US and Canada. The new game is the first time Cookie Jar has expanded their reach from television to consumer products and online games. The game is currently in the beta testing phase; it will launch later this year.
The GoFish Network is geared toward kids in the online realm. A company statement indicates that more than 18 million unique users are reached through GoFish portals in the US and more than 62 million uniques globally.
