Hitflip, Oridian form ad swap
A new partnership between Hitflip, the largest DVD and CD exchange in Europe, and Oridian, an international advertising network, could serve up millions of ads to an in-market consumer group. The partnership could drive more traffic to publishers and media the world over.
Jacob Nizri, CEO of Oridian said, "Hitflip has exclusively recruited Oridian as a partner for selling its UK IP-targeted ad inventory. With a 35% reach, Oridian has a considerable presence in the UK, ranking fifth on NMA`s list of top private ad networks for 2006 and 2007."
Hitflip's swap exchange is the largest in Europe, offering consumers a vast database of DVDs, CDs, games and books from other consumers. More than 300,000 users have created accounts. Each year 125,000 DVDs, 20,000 audio books or plays, 40,000 games, 65,000 books and 85,000 CDs are exchanged by users.
With even these high numbers, more growth is expected for the swapping world in Europe. More and more consumers are looking for ways to get the books, movies and games they want without spending the extra bucks. Through a swapping site, consumers can get a new movie or CD for the price of postage.
Oridian, meanwhile, is an advertising network which serves more than 9 billion ad impressions each month to more than 80 million users around the world.
