Bebo, Intercasting partner for mobile-social platform
Mobile users have a new platform to upload and share the content they create. Which means advertisers also have another chance to reach out to consumers through a social marketplace. Using the AnthemT platform, Bebo's users now have access to Intercasting's mobile social realm.
Bebo has more than 40 million users who will now be able to share their content creations with friends through their mobile devices. In addition to the mobile social platform, the users also have access to text and phone messaging capabilities.
Though the mobile Internet is still in it's infancy more users continue to sign on. Most are looking for another way to stay connected with friends and family, some are also beginning to realize the capability mobiles have to help them find stores, save money (through SMS or MMS coupon offerings) and to book travel. As more users sign on, more providers are also taking a harder look at the possibilities of the mobile web.
According to a recent report from JupiterResearch only about 37% of mobile consumers are actually using their phones to access the Internet. Rather than looking at this as a deterrent to advertisers, Jupiter says this is a clear indication that there is huge growth potential for mobile advertising revenue growth.
