An ad platform specific to the iPhone
The Apple iPhone is changing a lot of things about connectivity. With the ability to surf the web, store photos, instant message and talk with one device, users have switched at high rates. Now advertisers have another reason to switch to iPhone services: an ad platform that is specific to iPhones.
The platform, from AdInfuse, a leader in mobile advertising, combines video advertising with mobile web browsing. It has been set up for users in the US and Europe at this time. The ad platform recognizes users with the iPhone and delivers iPhone-specific ads to those users; the video ads and the content associated with them stretch full-screen for maximum sharpness. Ads are dynamically inserted and offer real-time targeting. Advertisers can create several different video ads and rotate the ads throughout the campaign.
Brian Cowley, CEO of Ad Infuse said, “As top publishers create content optimized for the iPhone and premium brands look to interact with consumers in exciting new ways, our new solution delivers exactly the kind of user experience and targeting capabilities the market is seeking.”
More than 4 million iPhones have hit the market since the phones debut in June 2007; roughly 90% of those users access the web via their mobiles.
Global availability of the platform is expected in March.
