Marketers to increase web analytics spend in 2008

Many businesses are planning to increase their web analytics budgets during 2008, most of which will be invested in training and staffing, according to a new study by the Web Analytics Association.

waa%20logo.jpgAlmost 70 percent of marketers surveyed by the WAA said they planned to increase the amount dedicate to web analytics this year.

The majority, 74 percent, plan to invest the budget increases in consulting, training and staffing to enable them to get the best from their existing analytics tools. Many businesses collect data but do nothing with it. The increase in budgets will enable web site and performance boots and contribute greatly towards the development of marketing strategy.

To further facilitate the flow of information, more businesses are looking to integrate applications to centralize data from sources such as search ads and behavioral targeting.
