DirectoryM relaunches local business to the 'Net
Local businesses have a new access point for the Internet. DirectoryM has re-launched, less than one year since an employee buy-back of the company, giving local business a new platform for advertising online. The revamped platform serves up local ads and local content for marketers, publishers and consumers.
The DirectoryM platform helps local businesses connect with content publishers through a hosted platform. Publishers can place local ads on their websites which are contextually relevant to the content already online. The platform also connects local advertisers with radio stations.
Websites can place ads for apartments, software, home improvement projects on pages; those ads will be placed on the pages which are contextually targeted. In addition publishers can serve local content to their readers. For an apartment ad, an article about how to choose the right home or how to get in touch with a home improvement company. The content engine crawls websites to find the most relevant information for users.
"It's intuitive. There's one application, so syndication partners can drop content in the engine, and publishers can put up the content and customize it," said DirectoryM CEO Panos Bethanis.
The application utilizes pay-per-click, pay-per-call and CPA pricing models to share revenue.
