More socializing for TopShop
In March this year, one of Britain’s largest fashion stores, TopShop, entered the world of social networking with a profile page on MySpace. The success of this move has led the fashion store to explore another big social network.
Facebook members can now choose their party outfits online and share their wardrobes with their friends, courtesy of TopShop. The fashion retailer has launched a Facebook application, called Fashion Fix, which enables dedicated followers of fashion to view their latest collections.
Facebook friends can interact with each other by leaving a “love it or lose it” stamp along with a comment alongside outfits and enter competitions to win money-off coupons or free goodies.
“Fashion Fix” will easily integrate nicely into many current Facebook groups already dedicated to TopShop, many containing thousands of members, such as “I love TopShop/TopMan”, “TopShop I just can’t get enough” and “TopShop Appreciation”.
The application will help facilitate conversation in the social realm where “what are you wearing on Saturday night?” can now be more adequately answered and the embarrassment of matching outfits avoided.
