Hispanic ad network launched
In the US, the Hispanic population is one of the fastest growing online populations. A new ad network could help marketers reach this wanted demographic. Hola Networks is an online display advertising network.
The Hispanic population is expected to reach 50 million by 2010, making it the fastest growing population in the US. The demographic is expected to account for a bout 18% of all US households with children by 2010.
Hola Networks has aligned with 24/7 Real Media with the hope that 24/7's Open AdStream platform will help to extend the reach of Latinos in the US.
The network has several international Spanish-based websites which have a large following in the US; the network also lists niche sites which are proven to be popular with advertisers. Users can purchase ads on specific channels - social, news, sports and other channels. Ads can be targeted within the site category by demographic, geographic location, site content and also behavioral targeting.
With the demographic growing at such a fast rate, it is a good idea to begin a targeting strategy to attract Hispanic users. According to a recent Nielsen Monitor-Plus report, advertisers are already increasing their spending within the Spanish-speaking media.
Spending within Spanish media - newspaper, cable television and radio outlets - increased about 2% to reach $288 billion during the first half of 2007.
