iProspect takes search marketing Down Under
Search engine marketing firm iProspect just might be on target to take over the world. Or at least the world of search marketing. This week the company launched iProspect Australia, a property that will help search marketers in Australia.
Since 2005, the company has launched platforms around the world and now holds offices in Spain, Denmark and Norway in addition to their hub in the US. This is their first foray into search marketing in the Asia/Pacific region.
"iProspect's global expansion best serves our search marketing clients because it offers them a truly seamless global search solution," said Robert Murray, president of iProspect US. "By having iProspect offices in major markets across the globe, our U.S. clients get the best of both worlds -- local market knowledge combined with sophisticated tools and techniques. Together, it's a combination that provides significant benefits to our clients."
The move into Australia won't be easy as the industry is still very undeveloped. However consumers are using search to find products and services. Google's search engine has an 85% market share in the region. However, in recent months metric firms comScore and Nielson//Netratings have both noted that other search engine shares are beginning to creep up on the giant in many different markets. Whether or not other search engines will decrease Google's market share in the Asia/Pacific region remains to be seen.
In any case, the addition of the iProspect platform for search marketers will likely help the still-developing search industry in the region grow to its full potential.
