New tool and update from Google
A new tool has been launched by Google AdWords that will automate the process of monitoring and adjusting cost-per-click (CPC) bids to enable advertisers to achieve more conversions for a lower cost.
Called “Conversion Optimizer (beta)”, the new AdWords tool will automatically adjust advertiser’s cost-per-click (CPC) bids with the aim of keeping the average cost-per-acquisition (CPA) under their specified maximum bid.
“Conversion Optimizer (beta)” can only be used on campaigns that achieve 300 conversions per month and it doesn’t support some features including site targeting, budget optimizer, position preference and preferred cost bidding. It also requires that the conversion tracking option be activated.
Google has also made changes to the frequency of Google Trends updates. After complaints regarding the length of time between updates, usually monthly, Google has decided to update the search term monitoring tool and make new statistics available every hour.
