NetMargin should increase email compliance

Email marketers worried about complying with the various laws and regulations limiting their campaigns may like a new platform from Datran Media. Called BrandShield, the email compliance tool could make it easier for email marketers to manage the compliance of their campaigns.

The platform gives advertisers information on the compliance issues facing various campaigns earlier so that marketers can make changes before those issues have a chance to hurt the campaign or the company's brand.

Quinn Jalli, chief privacy officer for Datran Media said, "Addressing these challenges strengthens our media supply chain, builds partner loyalty and provides the actionable data we need to stay ahead of the game and make sure the NetMargin network is as efficient as possible."

BrandShield uses the privacy and CAN-SPAM policies from UnsubCentral, integrating that with brand monitoring from LashBack to give email marketers a clear picture of how the campaign is working and what can be improved. The dashboard monitors email addresses for compliance and privacy abuses, it automatically downloads suppression lists and removes unsubscription requests faster than CAN-SPAMs 10 day rule.

The suppression list feature is possibly the most intriguing. By monitoring how suppression lists are working, advertisers don't have to worry about campaigns being delayed or paused because of list issues. When errors with the suppression lists happen, advertisers are notified immediately so that they can fix the problem.
