Free ad server launched for online publishers
Publishers may find a new offering from Exponential Interactive, the parent company of Tribal Fusion, very intriguing. It's a free ad server that offers support for third-party relationships, several targeting abilities and the ability to give some campaigns priority over others.
The Expo9 has been in beta-testing for several months with more than 100 publishers across the Web. The network is currently serving about 20 billion ads on the Tribal Fusion networks.
Dilip DaSilva, President and CEO of Exponential Interactive said, "It. . .gives publishers many different ways to earn revenue with us, from our Tribal Fusion CPM network, to monetizing international traffic, running our performance marketing campaigns, and contextual, in-text campaigns with EchoTopic."
Expo9 allows publishers to manage different campaigns from a single platform as well as offering advice on how to maximize revenue from specific ads in the networks. By offering the server for free, the company is hoping to ward off other, bigger ad platforms such as Google and Yahoo. It has been rumored that the bigger ad servers will soon offer their platforms for free as well.
Kevin Lucido, CEO of Intermarkets, said, "(Expo9) has been a reliable, scalable solution that has enabled us to effectively monetize our properties and reduce costs -- a definite competitive advantage. It's a great 'no cost' solution for
publishers."
The server is expected to be launched to qualified publishers in July.
