Monster to power broadcaster's job listings
Advertisers have another option when it comes to marketing on broadcast television websites: job listings. A new partnership will provide Monster.com job listings to Internet Broadcasting websites.
The deal will include 120 co-branded sites in 108 markets across the United States, and is just another coup for the job listings mega-site.
"Extending our media alliances across 120 broadcast and online media channels - nearly doubling the scope of our previous agreement - will accelerate our localization strategy and help Monster cultivate deeper relationships with local job seekers and employers," said Doug Klinger, president, Monster North America.
Monster will provide job search and matching options, career advice and tools like a resume builder. Job seekers can also use a salary center option in making their decision. Employers can post jobs and use the resume database to find candidates, much like the original Monster.com website.
For their part, Internet Broadcasting will give Monster television ad space, online ads and content placements to promote the new listings.
This isn't the first move Monster.com has made into the media fields. Late in 2006 and into the early part of 2007, Monster began partnering with local newspaper websites to power their job listings. They currently provide job listings for 215 newspaper websites. With more job seekers looking online for jobs, advertising within the classifieds sections of newspaper and television websites is a way to target that market.
