Google's Website Optimizer now available worldwide
Google has announced that its Website Optimizer™ application is now available to AdWords advertisers across the globe.
The tool, which has been in beta test since October last year, aims to drive conversions of sales, downloads and registrations by allowing marketers to test various website creatives and content. Elements such as headlines, copy and images can be varied.
As site visitors interact with the different page versions, publishers are provided with detailed reports on their activity, organized by version and page section. It allows marketers to see which sections are most important, relative to others, and which versions see the highest increase in conversion.
Some have referred to Google’s Website Optimizer as a “living lab”. It allows advertisers to receive up to 10,000 versions of a webpage. “This tool lets you have one page, add a few Java scripts and then when visitors hit the page, there are different combinations served,” said Tony Leung, product manager, Google.
Website Optimizer is integrated in to AdWords and also works alongside Google Analytics plus all third party analytics packages.
