Spotzer allows customized online video campaigns
The online do-it-yourself trend is moving from desktop publishing straight to video. Online video advertising, that is. A new ad company promises marketers the ability to create their own online video ad, track the campaign and make on the spot changes from one platform.
Amsterdam-based Spotzer hosts an online library of video spots from which advertisers can choose. The company promises small and medium sizes businesses who don't have a huge advertising budget the ability to compete with larger companies and brands with millions of dollars to spend on video advertising. Their generic footage can be customized to nearly any type of advertiser who wants to buy ads for online use, on cable and local television and even narrowcasting.
There are plans to include wireless, podcasting and MP3 campaigns in the future.
Here is how it works: companies "rent" the chosen footage from Spotzer and then personalize the footage with voice over and business information. Next, advertisers target the ad, make the ad buy and plan the campaign. Finally, they track results, evaluate how the campaign is performing and make any necessary changes.
Advertisers can also tweak campaigns for different regions, and for a fee can be the only company to rents that video exclusively for their specific geographic area.
