Analyst: MySpace making millions every month
According to Barron’s, Pali Research analyst Richard Greenfield has estimated MySpace’s monthly U.S. revenue to be around $24 million, and $6 million globally. That’s a tidy $30 million per month for the U.S.’s number one social networking site.
Greenfield speculates that MySpace’s monthly revenues could more than double over the next year at “very high incremental revenue margins". Rupert Murdoch’s initial investment of $500 million certainly seems to have paid off. However, there is no indication of where the revenues are coming from but it could include music and film/TV tie ups, as well as advertising.
On the flipside, Greenfield refers to New Corp’s launch of Fox News Business Channel which, he says, could lose $75 million or more in the first year.
MySpace could face a testing time next month, according to WebProNews. Two hackers are expected to target MySpace to expose security flaws and to “highlight the monoculture-style danger of extremely popular websites populated by users of various levels of sophistication.”

That sounds really good. If they have cute features to get revenue from their members, they will be able to make more money. I am building some new features for my social networking site, mycutegalaxy www.mycutegalaxy.com where i can make money with the members apart from membership fees.

My myspace page was hacked last night while I was logged in. I was searching at the time, but myspace caught it and made me jump through a couple of hoops before I could log back in. All seems to be well now. Immediatly afterward though I was slamed with ladies ( adult content ) asking to be added to my page.
