Riding on the success of its spam blocker, ClearMyMail has announced that it will soon launch a version which will be targeted at large companies and organisations.

ClearMyMail which launched its spam blocker in March said apart from blocking all spam and junk mail it also provides full protection from all virus e-mail.

ClearMyMail’s Dan Field said as sales for the system continue to grow, the company is on the way to beating its early expectations. The system uses an 18 page spam filter which according to Field enables to achieve a 100 percent blocking rate.

Field said the system had attracted enquiries from more than 30 countries.

Meantime, MX Logic which provides hosted email filtering and security services for small and large companies, said based on its June customer records, companies with under 1,000 employees received 14 percent more spam than larger companies.

MX Logic Chief Executive Officer Scott Chasin said that a major problem with smaller companies is that they still struggle to train users not to click on attachments and links inside e-mails. He suggested that such companies could do well with a post-it note about not loading attachments on everybody’s monitor.
